Men’s Ministry
Over ten years ago, a CPC member asked the elders for a deeper discussion of theology beyond that discussed at Sunday School. In response, CPC Guys was formed, a ministry for men of all ages from teens to seniors.
The purpose of CPC Guys is to provide men’s fellowship and strengthen our knowledge of God’s Word.
We meet monthly—usually on a Thursday late in the month at 7 p.m. at the Town House Restaurant, 139 N Central Avenue. Make sure to check the CPC calendar for the exact day of the month that we’re meeting.
A typical meeting will start with about half an hour of fellowship with no agenda, frequently packed with good humor, fishing tales, sporting news, and/or interesting stories. Some men eat a snack or a full meal, most drink a soda or a beer, almost everyone cracks at least a smile and a laugh. The formal portion of the meeting is about 30 minutes of loosely guided discussion centered on a theological topic with a review of related scripture. Homework is expressly forbidden. Questions, comments and discussion are welcome and encouraged.
If you’re interested in participating, no RSVP required—simply show up and enjoy! And there’s no obligation to stay the whole time. Some guys need to leave early, most leave between 8 and 9.
